This Power Pages implementation was designed to streamline complex form workflows and enhance user interaction through tailored UI and logic. At the core of the solution was a multi-step “Fact Find” form powered by Dataverse and enhanced with custom JavaScript, scoped CSS, and Power Automate flows. The portal supports conditional field behavior, role-based redirection, and real-time data saving—all within a clean, responsive layout. The goal was to create a user experience that feels custom-built while staying scalable and maintainable on the Power Pages platform
Challenges
Predefined Value in Address Field Issue
Auto-filling “Australia” in the address field wasn’t displaying correctly due to Power Pages’ grouped address structure, and this couldn’t be resolved via JavaScript.
Redirection After Form Submission
Native redirection controls were limited, and tracking form completion status required custom handling to redirect users to the Document Vault.
Missing Back Button in Multi-Step Form
Handling sensitive health and genetic data required rigorous security, encryption, and compliance with HIPAA/GDPR standards.
Complex Multi-Step Form Setup
Managing multiple tabs with one-to-many relationships in Dataverse demanded careful configuration to avoid step transition issues.
Date Format Limitations
Input controls didn’t support changing date formats (e.g., DD/MM/YYYY), and personalization settings had no effect
Inconsistent UI Styling
Button styles and fonts varied across the portal, reducing brand consistency and user trust.

Built-in tools couldn’t support dynamic fields based on user input, requiring a custom logic layer.

Resolved issues in the “Expenses” step by correcting entity relationships and ensuring accurate Dataverse integration.
